On the one hand... understandable. Looking at the other available
options for this fare, the WS seems to have carved themselves quite a
nice niche. Some of that is echoed in BBC America's (TV) recent ads
promoting their new hour long newscast for the U.S. each night at 7 ET.
On the other hand
Senior managers of the WS continue to state that user feedback
supports emphasis on news and current affairs...mentioned as recently
as a couple weeks ago in "Over To You".

The BBC should be celebrating the 75th Anniversary. There is much to
give thanks for in their long and illustrious history.
