Hello, it seems that sympy doesn't know how to solve something like -5*x**9+96*x**8-790*x**7+3623*x**6-10069*x**5+17250*x**4-17748*x**3+10395*x**2-3564*x+972 < 0
sympy gives "[1/10 - I*19**(1/2)/10, 2, 3, 1/10 + I*19**(1/2)/10]" the roots of -5*x**9+96*x**8-790*x**7+3623*x**6-10069*x**5+17250*x**4-17748*x**3+10395*x**2-3564*x+972 If we know the multplicity of each roots, then solving the inequality becomes easy. Indeed we have the following factorization : (x-3)**5*(x-2)**2*(-5*x**2+x-1) So if we know that 3 has multplicity 5, 2 multiplicity 2 then we know that the remaining ploynom (which has no real solution) has same sign as the dominent coefficient (-5). The remainig task is to solve one degre inequalities. What do you think about it ?
