Complementing my yesterday comment, as far as I've tested :
MatPlotLib 1.0.0 : plot3d_parametric_line command and surface_color
option for 3D plots don't work.
Yes we require matplotlib 1.0 for the whole plotting module to work as
import_module
checks for versions 1.0.
