For some reason, it renders on IE6 with a blue background, which is ok for
putting it
in the docs. In the image, how it renders on both IE6 and IE7

I've tested it also in IE7 and looks fine.
It will probably render badly on IE6, since they don't support
transparencies, but I
think that's ok since IE6 is deprecated.

Another attempt to get the transparency right. I've removed the white
objects in
inkscape and applied the transparency in the GIMP. There must be some
clipping tricks

However that version only uses binary transparency, and it's the version
rendered
against a blue background, so it will still only look good against a blue
background.

Attached logo with transparent background (used GIMP for this).
Unfortunately I can't
make Inkscape compile on my system to see if this can be done automatically.
