If "missing" means "they were all quietly moved to a folder you didn't look
in", it's possible. Without client logs we're in the realm of pure
speculation.

Apart from figuring out, what this delete command might have triggered, how
can I properly restore the bookmarks to work with sync again? When I just
reload them from the backup, the next sync seems to delete it again.
