The monitor gamma adjustment was never intended to be used as a way to change
the gamma of the native colorspace. The user "choosing to work with a gamma of
1.0" is a symptom of a huge problem. They aren't actually working at a gamma of
1.0, they are working on a completely misconfigured setup.
