missed Daniel Komen.
He is number 5 in the list:

Exactly correct. I forgot to mention that I could not include hand times
because the point scoring system in my db is just for recent use and I
didn't have time to reprogram.
But 10.1h, 19.83 and 44.5 give Tommie 3567 points.
And even after this one could argue whether the points scored in t

Ryun had a 6M XC time which when "converted" to a 10K made him pretty
impressive, albeit not in Aouita's league.

for proper historical perspective, think you have to give Tommie Smith
(still the best 3-event sprinter ever, IMHO) a nod w/ a couple of converted
hand times. Give him 10.34*, 19.83 and 44.64* and he's probably (I don't
have Tables handy) around 3600 points, just eyeballing what other people
have,
This goes to show what I have always thought - Aouita had the best range of
any "world record" caliber distance runner in the past 50 years. If you
removed the 800m, I think you'd find many guys like Geb and others who
didn't even run an 800 moving into the fray (I suspect Geb would be #1), but

Hello,
I am not from TFN, but I decided to answer anyway. Here are the 120
athletes which were found with a query to my database. I used criteria
where 100m is 10.40 or better, 200m 21.00 or better and 400m 46.50 or
better.
Feel free to correct this list, I have not checked it, it's just what my

From the BBC...awesome performance, as the World & Oly champ pulled
away hitting the straight.
1) Kederis (GRE) 19.85 CR
2) Obikwelu (POR) 20.21 NR
3) Devonish (GBR) 20.24
BTW, looks like Zelezny won't win a Euro title in the javelin, the
only major that's eluded him.

Men 200m (wind: -0.5)
Kenteris 19.85
Obikwelu 20.21(NR for Portugal) although he's run under 19.90 for Nigeria
Devonish 20.24
Malcom 20.30
Zelezny didn't make the Jav final.
