one that involves team scoring.
I agree it's abominable what he has done, just as so many who often go to
big events(Oly,WC ,WXCC,select team races) injured or out of shape simply
because they made the team and
Someone in the AAC should file a grievance against him or they should just lynch the

What a jackass.

Hi. Fred Finke Here.
I hate to point this out, but I believe that according to USATF rules, if a
person earns a spot, they have first priority and first right of refusal
unless they violate a morality (or something to that effect) clause. A

All US athletes are required to now sign a contract regarding conduct when representing
the US in Int'l competition. I'm sure this BS is in direct violation of that conduct
agreement, not to mention just basic good sportsmanship and common sense. He should be

everyone runs one interval, its no longer about the competition. The IAAF needs to
wake
the hell up.

I don't agree if it displaces someone else. Although, obviously, in some cases
the particular national federation is in on the decision. Still not fair on an
athlete by athlete basis. I suspect if it happened in the UK, US and/or Canada,
there would be the same uproar as now. I can't speak for
Clearly he was rabbiting - if it looks like a duck and smells like a duck,
it is. His claims that he was not rabbiting are ridiculous.
Proving it in a legally defensible manner is another story. Assuming it
could be proven, the USATF Board could certainly suspend him based on any

That's going a bit overboard... It was stupid and not in the spirit of
team competition, but it hardly rigged the outcome. As has often been
