No, blocks are only used in the 60m races.
Carol - The Armory in NYC does not have a flat track. Maybe if you'd
gone there once in the last decade.
It was really nice to hear Lewis Johnson put down St John's University
for their bonehead decision of dropping Men's T&F/XC. A little national
publicity should do the cause wonders.

Well I had a hunch the results at Boise State were not right after all.
According to the SMU sports information department, it turns out that Libor
Charfreitag is out of eligibility. They don't know why the results have him
listed as representing SMU. It's still a big throw at
any rate :) So

Libor Charfreitag of SMU won the weight throw at Boise State today in
82-01.50! That breaks his own collegiate record which was 78-09.75. I hope

Were blocks used for the 400?
At the Indiana Invitational, David Payne of the Bearcat Track Club, and
University of Cincinnati, ran 7.70 in the 60 meter hurdles which is the
fastest time in the nation. Payne, however, will not be able to compete at
the NCAA indoor championships since Cincinnati does not have a men's indoor
