I suspect that very few people on the list knew where Dennis Mitchell (sprinter) is currently coaching, or WHO the coach at Akron is. So U of A sounded as likely a possibility as anywhere else. I suppose this means that the USATF appointment was truly based on coaching merit, not prior elite team experience (they HAVE appointed people based on that alone in the past though!). Best wishes to COACH Mitchell- he may need our help to constantly inform people about his background until his coaching achievements become as much or more well known as Sprinter Mitchell's history- since his name unfortunately carries some negative connotations- at least to many on this list.
