Hy-Tek has a multi event scoring capability that include events other than
the standard dec/hept/pent etc. For example you can chose to assign a point
score to the triple jump. A mark of 11.33 returns a score of 384 points
using what Hy-Tek refers to as the IAAF tables. I have never seen a hard
copy of such tables. The triple jump is not found in the IAAF Combined
events scoring tables and the 2001 IAAF Scoring Tables of Athletics give
that mark a point total of 550 ( the 1992 edition scores it at 566). Can
someone explain to me where Hy-Tek comes up with their points for the triple
jump? It doesn't seem to be generated from anything I can find from the
IAAF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tom
