Jones wants to turn back the clock so her sprinting career can go forward. “We want to push it to another level like we did in ‘98,” the triple Olympic champion said in an interview, recalling the summer she ran six of the 11 fastest 100 metres ever and the third-fastest 200 metres. “Those world records are still out there and I think they’re still possible to be broken by myself,” said Jones of Florence Griffith Joyner’s world marks of 10.49 seconds in the 100 metres and 21.34 in the 200.
