I'm a bit surprised that you make no reference to the long list of past and
current projects that address accessibility issues, including vision.
I would suggest reading up on those activities first before launching head
first into something that just might repeat the mistakes of the past.
We are in desperate need for new tags and tools to improve
accessibility for both contribution and use. Please refer to the
following page for a detailed scope and feel free to add yourself as a
volunteer if you could give us a hand in any of the outlined areas:
