Hi, recently someone mapped a lot of fountains here, so tried to find out how they should be tagged. But I failed. I found both natural=water or landuse=basin to be in use for those features, but both have their flaws. natural=water - wiki page doesn't specify, but details, examples and name imp

If this pool of water has the main purpose of feeding the fountain I would consider this to be a landuse=reservoir for the following reasons: * Its wiki description fits: "Man made body of stored water. May be covered or uncovered.") * It has a well defined, used and even rendered subtag of reservo
