However, I will respond any way in hopes of you aiding us on this front.

Hi goats,
Just a FYI that there seems to be issues flashing to the drive with
BalenaEtcher from windows.
I tried with about 5 different UBS - some of different sizes and make.
I tried to use different USB slots.
Then I tried using a different computer.
Same results always. The flash fails right
Thanks, I'll check it out.

Hello there!
I started using tails os and it is awesome.
But I want to install a VPN. When I run sudo apt-get install openvpn I
get an error about this package. Can you please help me?
Tails currently doesn't support VPNs.

Thanks for sharing your findings! It helps us improve Tails.
Please retry with Tails 4.22~rc1. If this does not work either,
please describe exactly what you did and what was the result.
Thanks

Well, it seems that even with the reminder sent about 8 days ago, no
one on the linux-mm mailing list cares. I tried OFTC/#mm several times
as well, but never saw any response. I think I will stay with the
32/64-bit KEXEC split in the meanwhile. Will also ask memtest86+

Few seconds.

Is this still an issue? My understanding is that there is a maximum of
about 2 minutes before all contents of memory have "dissipated". How long
does it take to 'wipe' the memory? The 2nd question is what do you call
wiping? Doing more than one pass is probably no more effective than a
single pass.
1. On 32-bit x86, memtest=n tests only LOWMEM memory (~ 895 MiB),
HIGHMEM is ignored
2. On 3.0.4-hardened-r5, HIGHMEM memory (HIGHMEM64G in my tests) is
apparently ignored during memtest. Looking at arch/x86/mm/memtest.c,
no special mapping is performed (kmap/kunmap?), so it seems that at
