Does the problem continue if you reboot your machine? If so, how many Outlook
processes do you find in the Windows Task Manager? If more than one, then there
is a problem. If just the one and the issue continues, please email me your

More to add I looked over the view menu and unchecked status bars and all
read ok, then checked it again and all is still reading ok, but still no
outlook app in my apps menu.

Yes it is ok to update, in fact 8.5.9 was released to fix that exact issue.

Opps! Forgot to mention that I am running WE 9.0 and this behavior is the

freaking out or something, and just for the heck of it I used the
window-eyes hot key and vuala, the music playes and Window-eyes is back.
