Thank you for this! Until recently in Windows 10, when I wanted to add an internet shortcut to the desktop, I could do what I always did in 7: Go to Favorites, find the link to the page I wanted to put on the desktop, press the context menu and arrow down to Send To. Then Desktop, Create Shortcut.

Russ, you should be able to do it by going to the Program Files (x86) folder and then to the IE folder, then highlighting the IE executable file, and in the context menu choose send too the desktop. I just did it, and I'm going to have to delete a new and redundant shortcut . HTH, Larry On
