Yes, absolutely it will. You must be connected to the Internet in order to
register Window-Eyes. ...if not, the installation will go kaput.

Thank you for this! Until recently in Windows 10, when I wanted to add an
internet shortcut to the desktop, I could do what I always did in 7:
Go to Favorites, find the link to the page I wanted to put on the desktop,
press the context menu and arrow down to Send To.
Then Desktop, Create Shortcut.
Mark, to what text book are you referring? I missed the title in
whatever post you sent it. Sorry.

I also just thought of another Windows 10 training resource that is free and
should prove useful. David Bailes has written a number of "JAWS" guides. But,
the majority of content is screen reader agnostic. I have found his guides very
thorough and helpful. He has written two guides specific to W

No, Window-eyes doesn't go out and fetch apps during installation.
It is possible you have a fast machine or perhaps the antivirus didn't slow
the installation down scanning all of the vb scripts.

Russ, you should be able to do it by going to the Program Files (x86)
folder and then to the IE folder, then highlighting the IE executable
file, and in the context menu choose send too the desktop.
I just did it, and I'm going to have to delete a new and redundant

Hi,
I am using Edit plus as texteditor, but not fully satisfied with how
Window-Eyes and the editor are working together on my system, so I want
to look at an other editor.
What is a good editor these days?
I have looked to Notepad plus plus, and Pspad. They look nice except
selected text.
