Thanks for trying to help. May be I wasn't very clear when stating my
problem and I'm sorry about that. What I meant was that my Progress
Indicator App does not work properly. It doesn't produce the beeps although
it does announce the percentages.
As I said before, I have all my WE sounds except that the Progress indicator
sounds are not working. As I also said, I checked in the AppData, not the
Progress file
folder and the Progress sounds are all there and work when you press enter
on them individually. Earlier this year, several people gave me instructions
on how to get the Progress Indicator working again and, as far as I know, I
have followed them to the letter but no joy. I do occasionally get a beep or
two. I will try to go through the instructions again, especially those given
by David, to see what I did wrong. If that doesn't work, then it looks as if
I may have to re-install the progress indicator app again.

Thanks to Netbat, it remains for me simply to provide the list of which
sound file goes with which event.
You can simply paste the full path of each file into the corresponding edit
box.
Once you do this for each of the six events, tab to the Apply button to
apply the change.
Here is the list:
Browse mode On:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GW Micro\Window-Eyes\bm_in.wav"
Browse mode Off:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GW Micro\Window-Eyes\bm_out.wav"
New browser window background:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GW Micro\Window-Eyes\nbrowseb.wav"

go to control panel, sounds, then find the control tab for sounds. by pass
the sound scheme name and save as until you get to program events.
with me window eyes sounds are the last option in the list. there are 6
sounds.
if they are un defined it will say there is none. if so this is where you
will have to tab to browse and search for each w e sound.
they would be in c:\program files x86\gwmicro\wineyes.
they are not in the windows\media folder.
unless you know which file belongs to each event you would have to try each
of them until the are associated to the right event.
there is a test button in the sounds program to try the sound out you are
useing.
if you mess up you can click on cancel and the sounds will revert back to
the way it was before you made any changes.
