I, too, sometimes find that cells will not read and find that alt tabbing away
and back will usingally fix this for me. For me, the symptom is that nothing
is reading, not just when I press F2 though. The protected worksheet question
is a good one to ask

I just tested Excel 2010 with W-E 9.5.4. I happened to open a spreadsheet
