Hi Martha,

I've been thinking about this for a few days now, and a couple of things
occur to me.
First, did you install a paper printer yet?
If not, then your document probably went to the Windows 10 default printer,
which is the Microsoft XPS document printer, which is nothing but a printer
driver which produces a digital version of what you originally printed.
As in Windows 7, which I know you don't have, but for your info, you can
find what's going on in terms of printing by typing printers in the search
box, Cortana, and press Enter on Devices and Printers.
You could then arrow down through all the different devices and find the
different printers installed on your system.
When you find a printer you'll hear the status of any print jobs, and, if
you press Enter, you can open the printer-specific dialog and get details on
its status and cancel print jobs.

I hope this helps,

Rod

Subject: Windows 10; printing a document

Okay, I have made the leap from XP to 10. I get lost in the ribbon.
I have opened up File Explorer, have found a *.doc in Documents, and want to
print it.
With the item selected, I've tried using the context/applications key and
did not find a print option. The Send to pulldown did not include a
printer.

I tried using control + P key combination, but, did not get the print
dialogue box.

I tried to find the print option in the ribbon without success.

Would one of you kind souls send step by step instructions. I'm stuck.

Using WE 9.5.1.
