Yesterday when I shut down the computer I heard the ascending chord and the
3 independent notes you mention as well and they were played at the same
time - 2 diferent synths involved?
If so this might have something to do with a problem I am looking at.

Hi: I use the logon screen when booting or ReBooting.
WE and Windows10 seem to take much, much longer to boot up and get WE

For what it's worth, here's what happened to me.
After installing 9.3 I did not get these tones. Then I did some house
cleaning, Disk cleanup, and Disk defrag. Then it started every time I
booted up.
I rebooted several times, tried refreshing the accessibility libraries,
rebooted some more,

Hi, I've noticed this also on my new windows 10 PC. It does it when I

a moment.

Once you hear this, you should probably restart WE by control-alt-w.
When you do this, you should not hear those beeps. As far as I
understand, this is a timing issue.

When this happens during shutdown I believe it's because a login window
is whizzing by. This triggers the Window-Eyes load before start up and
Windows continues shutting down while Window-Eyes is trying to make the
connection.
If I turn load before start up off it goes away. So it's no big
I actually hear three or four descending beeps, then I hear the cord sound
that we makes when it starts and ends, did this in 9.2 as well.

This means that WE is notcommunicating with your video driver properly
-- try starting WE again -- not rebooting and see if things work better.

I get the beeps most every time windows loads. this is w e crashing. I guess
because with me it tries to load 2 or 3 times before it gets to the desktop.
w e loads for the log on screen but I have windows set to by pass this screen.
this is one time when w e crashes. then loads another copy when

Hi
I suspect you're probably upgrading from a much earlier version of
Window-eyes? the assending piano sound has been around for awhile now,
so that's probably what that is. these aren't beeps, this is an
assending chord, to indicate that window-eyes is starting. there's also
a decending
No, I don't think it's the harp up and down runs that are being talked
about. I have had these three beeps when my window eyes would malfunction.
There is a middle e, or something, a low a, which is third octave, and a
fifth octave e. After it would do that, my window eyes would die. In
