If you just want everything where they were the last user to modify it you can
use XAPI, just download:

Hi,
Does anyone know how to extract a users edits from the API?
I'm specifically looking for all of the edits (last changed) by
user:reimer (mostly Canada) extracted to a sinle .osm file.
and user:Acrosscanadatrails as an .osm file.
Using windows XP on the command line.
