I see this being used already but cant find the source, so I do it

yes sure, on your own map you can do all sorts of things, including
different font sizes / styles, paren
I had a problem accessing one of my Etrex devices. It transpired it didnt
like the cable I was using though the same cable worked fine with another
unit. I changed the cable and all was well again.

apply automatic abbreviation to lighten the map, especially when doing
a multilingual map !

Also in Germany, but you shouldn't use abbreviations in Osm anyway

A long "em dash" (U+2014) may be used not to mix with the basic short one.
