JOSM currently provides a very simple and crude view on an objects

I also had a look at these maps and I still don't understand completely
how they relate to OSM. The map already displays the OSMs road network,

taken from OSM, are they? Are there indeed two road networks in the USG

Hi Vincent
We have been mapping Jacmel city in the past three days. The city itself
an east up to Catadat, north up to Bassin Caiman, and west up to
Desmarattes is mapped as good as possible. The area is covered by
DigitalGlobe imagery whose quality is, unfortunatelly, not homogeneous.

Hi,
I have the same problem. Brad Neuhauser said on the crisismapping list
that lot of work has been done before digitalglobe was available. In
particular, an old CIA map has been used, there are a lot of objects

I've added a tile source to the the slippymap plugin too.
- update (or download) the slippymap plugin

Perhaps the slippymap plugin could be tweaked to acces the haiti
imagery. I don't know it well but it seems that it loads tiles addressed
with (x,y)-coordinates, looks quite similar to what is availabe at
gravitystorm. And it uses a "level", i.e. the "zoom level", that is the

Hi,
I'm pretty sure there is. In JOSM we check for keys and values whose size
exceeds 255 characters, otherwise the server throws a Precondition
Violation. In JOSM we count "Unicode code units" (that what's
String.length() does in Java) which is closer to "characters" than to
"bytes".

Hi Avar,

You might use the history viewer in JOSM instead. It compares two arbitrary
versions of a primitive and highlights the
differences with different colors.

I think it isn't. I today applied the patch from the provider of the sort
feature, but sorting of relations is still
under development.
We had tickets about *adding* members because of sorting, see

Hi denny
I had a second look at the documentation and I now understand how Semantic
MediaWiki can help us.
Assume map features were described by three attributes: a key, a value and a
description, like
{MapFeature key="foo" value="bar" description="desc"}
Then we would create a Wiki page

Hi there,
In [2] we see that there are partially redundante declarations of map
features (descriptions of keys or key/value-pairs for tagging OSM
primitives) in the wiki. The major reason for redundant is, that they appear
both on individual pages (like [[Key:heighway]] or [[Tag:highway=primary]])

I today realized that Tenerife

knowledge I didn't touch the coastline,
Any ideas?

Hi,
In Switzerland there are a lot of these roads too (called "Feldwege" instead
of Wirtschaftwege). I use the following tag set:
highway=track
grade= (I often omitt this tag)
motorcar=destination(if the signposts read "Zubringerdienst
gestattet" - could be a Helvetism,
