Imagery plugin which combines wmsplugin and slippymap plugin is now available. It's in experimental stage and there is some questions about future of these plugins, however tracing the Bing imagery with offset correction seems to work well. -- Best regards, Upliner

reason for using slippymap plugin functionality instead of WMS proxy. Great performace is just a bonus. However, slippymap plugin is initially designed to show map tiles, not the aerial imagery, therefore so radical solution as merging two plugins into one is needed. -- Best regards, Upliner
