Hi! MapSwipe is launched today. I like to think of it as a pre-processing imagery tool to curate a cleaner dataset for mappers. Imagine less blank, blurry images, or "nothing to map" tiles. This tool aims to have people microtask the tiles in a game way. We will start with Missing Maps projects and then we hope to make it more available as we iterate. (the code is on github)
http://mapswipe.org/ Mapswipe is an MSF sponsored mobile app supporting projects to go on OpenStreetMap. More details below. To: "h...@openstreetmap.org" <h...@openstreetmap.org> Hi all, as promised, MapSwipe is now available on App Store, Play Store and via http://mapswipe.org/ There's a blog post on it, here: http://www.missingmaps.org/blog/2016/07/14/mapswipe/ Would love it if you'd give it a go and, assuming you like it (!), give us a hand sharing it.... Lot's of stuff to come, but the app is ready for mapping. At the moment, these are just Missing Maps projects, but once we are on our feet, we hope to open it right up. Data exporter also on its way, soon! If you have any problems, encounter bugs or have comments, please feel free to let us know at http://bit.ly/MapSwipeFBack We expect some bugs, of course, and your help pointing them out to us would be much appreciated...
