Hi, For some time lately we're working on the icons for default map. Nebulon42 is the driving force behind moving from current variety of PNG/SVG icons to more uniform set of pixel-aligned SVGs where possible, while I try to learn making new icons for very popular items. That's where I look

Locally we have splash-pads where young children can run in and out of a spray of water.  Very useful in hot weather but not something I'd expect to see in the UK for example Sorry - just had to comment on this :-) June 2012 is not typical of UK summers! Typical of UK autumns perhaps though.

I think the fantasy is to have a basic icon available for every recognized tag. For custom renders there will always be a need for custom or different icons but I was hoping that we could evolve a basic set that covered tags in the existing map. Yes end users could always use JOSM and look at
