I made the area for the showground and it moved the adjoining street, an
effect not altered by marking the caravan park as such

database. It's of Campbelltown, NSW Farrow & Watsford roads and Rose Street
I've used JOSM to simplify the number of points on a straight line, but
I still have a lot more points that the surrounding OSM data.

Any company would have to produce evidence that you had actually copied from
their database - just having a list of streets identical to another is no
proof that you copied it, rather than sourcing it from the physical world.
