Hi. I meant it will give you an idea of where to start looking (so you can confirm by survey or aerial photo). Same goes for looking at council published maps. I wasn't suggesting people copy the data. We need to be very careful about this. - Ben Kelley. On Jul 30, 2012 4:13 PM, "waldo000...@g

Hi. For the moment the cycle map still has the pre redacted data, which will give some tips. Many councils paint bike logos that can be seen in Bing, but not all. Hopefully all the relations linked to from the wiki still exist, but I know some are in bad shape. - Ben. On Jul 30, 2012 7:44 AM

Keeping all Sydney cycle routes in the wiki is a good idea. Updating them there post-recovery seems reasonable too. Cooks River and Botany Bay I deleted and then remapped red sections prior to the redaction, and surprised how much disappeared regardless. Shouldn't take long to recover those. If

FYI, I am working on the Cooks River Cycleway which I mapped over 2005-2006 and can do the M7 cycleway if needed. I've been able to re-create a map of my efforts from a January 2007 planet dump so have 1,000+ streets and paths over NSW and QLD that I can re-map using Bing imagery. Dalby, Port M

Hi. BTW, in terms of cycle routes in Marrickville I managed to remap some in advance of the redaction, and I know where any missing ones go. There is a page on the wiki for Sydney Cycle Routes (pre redaction). Most of the relations there should still exist, but I haven't had time to check them ye

Hi Eric, Try gpsbabel, it's a handy tool that lets you convert ways / tracks / routes from one format to another: http://www.gpsbabel.org/ It can be a little complicated to use, and there is a command line and a gui interface. The documentation on gpsbabel's website is very good. Cheers, Cam. >
