I personally like the rule "use the order used on signs there".
A couple of Flemish municipalities have a majority of French speakers,
but I doubt it's a good idea to put the French names first there. Just
use the order of the signs, Dutch - French, when it is used on
official signs. Same thing goes for municipalities with "French -
Dutch" and "German - French" signs. If politicians want to change the
order, we can let them argue.

Coming back to the original question. In Brussels-Capital-Region signs
of the region and municipalities are always "French - Dutch".
Within Brussels, signs pertaining to buildings of communities, other
regions or organisations have sometimes different orders. Whether they
should follow the order of the BCR majority is another question.
