Motorways are the responsibility of the Highways Agency, not the local
authority. Probably don't need to grit M5, M6 etc because the average top speed
is zero mph (tongue in cheek).

I have never taken data from another source and mapped it within OSM. Would
it be worth covering this at Kidderminster next Saturday.
On another point. I have mapped two electricity sub stations, one near home
using my GPS handheld, and a second near work using my Android
On the BBC front page was the Haiti Map as drawn by OS mappers.
Another good use for volunteer time.
