Hi, The past few weeks I've been amusing myself a bit. It all started with finding some peculiar/remarkable artwork, investigating, finding out there were several more, some of which were already on the map but with approximate positions. So, of course, I had to go and find them to locate them properly. Make pictures, add them to Commons. Add information about the artist to Wikidata. Try to add some info to Wikipedia. With some help it became a somewhat decent article in Dutch, which I had to translate, of course... went a bit overboard in that respect. So now it's available in 6 languages.
The artist described a route on his website, which I had to add to OSM, of course. The project that really showcases Openstreetmap, is Wikivoyage. I describe the whole itinerary and there is now a slippy map on it with POI markers (including bus stops, complete with real time information and numbered walking node network nodes, of course) which are referred from within the text. I translated it to 3 languages, but the English version showcases the possibilities the best. On the Dutch version you can find a map I created with Maperitive. Anyway, I'm glad that all the work gathering the nodes of the walking network and adding the bus stops and routes now pays off in this little project. Well maybe not all that little anymore. https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Pad_van_Ad https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_Wouters Of course if you see mistakes, don't hesitate to fix them or tell me about them. Suggestions welcome. Jo
