I hadn't noticed a posting to this list on SOTM 2011 in a while and was a bit surprised when I heard that the deadline for submitting talks is fast approaching.
SOTM is the big annual international gathering of OSM folks. This year it is being held in Denver in September. Denver is easily accessible from most of the populated parts of Canada.
If your thinking of submitting a talk you have to submit a short proposal by March 15'th. See http://stateofthemap.org/call-for-papers/ for details.
