Hi there,

We are a group of Latino mappers working with OSM since 2010. We have
advocated for the collaboration between civil society and governments uisng
OSM specially with National Stats Offices, having undertaken many
initiatives like this
https://undataforum.org/WorldDataForum/harnessing-census-data-collection-with-citizen-participation-in-the-sdgs/
 .

Related to this agenda, we will be organizing close to INEGI (Natnl Stats
from México) next November a Mapathon
<http://osmgeoweek.org/events/>*http://osmgeoweek.org/event/aguascalientes/
<http://osmgeoweek.org/event/aguascalientes/>* to out reach to local
mappers in the region. Officers from other National Statistics Offices from
Latin America are also invited to the event. We will be focusing on the OSM
Canada Task Manager and trying to map remote regions.

Maybe we can partner to co organize our mapathons together, sharing
experiences and presentations from Canada and Mexico on line.

What do you think about this?

All best
