At the risk that those involved are already on this list and you
might all know about it already, someone has just forwarded the
following Tweet to me via email. I'm 200 odd miles away so can't
make it, but I pass it on in case it is of any interest.

Hi everyone
I've compared our data which we knew to be pretty crappy with OS StreetView
and there is a huge amount of work to be done in re-aligning streets and
associated buildings. How do we propose to go about this? Once a street is
re-aligned there's lots of bus stops, POIs and bdgsand
Hi everyone
I know that there are strong opinions on surveying being more fun and more
accurate and richer in POI/addressing/bustops/etc detail but given the scale
and remoteness of what's left to be done in the Black Country, I can't help
feeing that we should make use of all this OS data to
I am with Brian.
I have never taken data from another source and mapped it within OSM. Would
it be worth covering this at Kidderminster next Saturday.
On another point. I have mapped two electricity sub stations, one near home

OSM is unlikely

Background: Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire is increasingly well mapped
in OpenStreetMap with good
Hi Guys,
What are the chances we could do the London Mapping Marathons on
Tuesday or Thursdays? There's a SOTM conference call every Wednesday
from 8pm BST that makes it difficult to make it to the mapping
parties.
What do you think?

I'd be happy to do that (I'm back from the start of May!). I think Thursdays
might pan out better for me, but I might alternate if stuff comes up on
Tuesdays.
I think it was another Nick that mentioned SOTM and language in another
e-mail, and I feel I should at least attempt to say a few key

Is that where the Radio 4 On The Map presenter grew up? If so, have you
sent him an invite?
