Anyone interested in the State of Bristol is invited to join me[1] and Tim François[2] tomorrow night.
We thought we'd get together to have a conflab after recently spurring each other on in mapping the city. Over the last month certain bits of Bristol have improved quite considerably: Cotham Hill, Clifton Village, Whiteladies Road, Park Street and the Centre are now more or less "complete" in their shops and amenities. Tim and I thought other OSMers might like to join us. Anyone interested in Bristol mapping is welcome. At the very least we'll be discussing what new tags might be desirable when you tag an entire high street, and techniques for gathering data. It'll be in the new #1 Harbourside bar, next to the Watershed. Good food, good beer and lots of space are available, and live music usually comes along (much) later. I'm not sure about wifi, but the main thing is to talk about the State of Bristol rather than stare into our laptops. Where? The Harbourside bar, next to the Watershed, Bristol [3] When? Tuesday October 26, 6pm till whenever. Sorry for the late notice. Sign up on the wiki[4] if you like. Hope to see you there! - Laurence [1] http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Laurence [2] http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/tiiiim [3] http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/26200825 [4] http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Bristol#Bristol_meet-up.2C_Oct_26.2C_2010 _______________________________________________ Talk-GB mailing list Talk-GB@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb
