Robert's tool does number of kilometres (km) but just for the counties
where we have OGL data to compare against.

It would be good to have km for all counties. I'm sure even with non-OGL
data we can show the target km versus the OSMF KM mapped.

Can someone with more skills than me come up with a measurement tool that
updates daily or weekly along the lines of total length for the UK in Km
for footways,bridleways, BOATS etc and total length for tags
designation=public_footpath etc and finally total length for prow_ref tags?
