Hello again,
I am relatively new OSM editing and new to the list.
I wonder if there are any mapping projects happening in Ireland like the
"Fortnight of" or "month of" mapping efforts where it is nominated for 2
weeks people would make an effort to add to the map a specific type of
information
I was hoping to open source an iOS app to the github page at some stage which
would show and warn you when driving in a speed camera zone. It would be
pulling the data from OSM… if it was there…
That’s not a huge project but requires both the zone and the maxspeed to be
available for it to work
I looked at this a few years ago and started some work. I was
interested in using OSMAND as the app for android as it has inbuilt
support and a sat nav. I manually mapped a few zones and was waiting
for OSMAND to update their data. I also manually took the start and
end locations of zones, mostly o

Hi,
We haven't done any of those targeted editing things in the past.
Although since the UK and Belgium are doing a "Schools quarterly
project", I'm looking at schools at the moment (as you can tell from
the emails).
I like the idea of those projects
What about a month of pubs ?
I was trying to do something with these a while back and was surprised
at how many were missing.
Surely this should be priority #1 in for an Irish OSM group :)

I don't really think that temporary or even fixed speed camera zones or speed
traps should be mapped. However, I'm very much in favour of getting all
permanently marked speed zones (signposts) mapped and into OSM.
I find Mapillary ( http://www.mapillary.com/ ) to be a great tool for doing
