awesome work with the conversion, we finally have some good boundary data to
work on. i compared the data with the state maps and the pc boundaries dont
seem consistent with the districts as i had init

Indian Governments contribution to FOSS is to much. The visible name I
can recall is BOSS, b
i met the guys from NIC who are coordinating this project, at our stall at
osi tech days. this data wont be available to the public, only to
governmental agencies. but my contacts in the chennai corporation have
promised to share their information with me once the map is ready, in
another 2 months.
Survey of India is talking about releasing a new digital map
of Chennai. The map is to include street names, etc.
