Hi Nic, I'm not deleting the barcode. I'm creating a new pdf which only contains my annotations (that's where the deletion comes in) and then merging it back onto the original pdf (which contains the barcode, map image and Walking-papers information) using pdftk. Regards, David 2010/10/3 Nic R
