Hi Jack,
it's easier to imagine if you don't think about axes rather than the weigt of
the dancers pulling away from each other. Since the weight is mainly connected
to your hipps, this is manageble without losing the close embrace. I am sure
there is some video out there with some milonguero

Sebastian is always using Marianas energy thats why it stays dancing
and doesn't become gymnastics. I've seen much worse in tango, and usually these
couples are not dancing Nuevo ;-).

For me a molinette is what the woman/follower dance when the couple is doing a
Giro.
That means molinette is short for back-side-front.

This is a very interessting subjekt (the lead of the cross) even though I find
Mila and Korey fantastic dancers I don't agree 100% with how the want their
students to lead the cross. They speak on the video about leading the spine (or
center of weight) on the left or the right side of the stand
