With all the conversation about códigos -- where did they start, how did
they evolve?
Certainly not in the saloons, brothels, streets, ... At the
barrio/cultural association dances where tango was intermixed with the
European Mazurka, Polka, Waltz ... ? At the Teatro Opera?

I would like to say that the direction of dance (counterclockwise) is a tango
code respected, but it is not respected anymore, maybe in two or three
places like El beso, Sunderland. Sin rumbo
