Please correct me if I am wrong fellers but isn't thickness really
dependent on hardness of material. Say for instance you are playing
with a 1.6 piece of felt, your not going to get any tone unless they
have stiffened the felt with epoxy. I say try em out and see which
you like!

like voice so maybe that is why I don't. My kids call me pop and that
is about as close
