Copying to clipboard

Is it me or is there something broken with copying to clipboard? I just tried to copy from (A) message window and (B) editing Email and paste it into (A) notepad (B) Opera (C) Firefox All the time there is nothing in the clipboard Then I use notepad and make a sentence then copy and paste that
