I don't know how I triggered this... except that MS Visual Studio 2005 was closing (which can take a few minutes on my machine, for some reason) and clicked the close button (the 'x' at the top right) of the Address Book window to make it close, too.
Now it refuses to close. Neither File|Exit nor the close button works.
