I had the same problem. I couldn't visually find "panel layout" or
"split mode" in the registry key. But a search for them found each.

Hello Tbbeta,
I have the same problem as others with split screen keeping it's
settings. Can't find the enteries in the reg as per Stefan's post.
Have enclosed image of what's in my reg for Bat.
