Is there any progress on this? Manual import/export is one thing, but we live
in a world where my Android phone, iPad, laptop and desktop computer sync
everything automatically.

Guys, install ac'tiveaid and assign a Shortcut like Ctrl-Shift-V to "paste
plain text". Works system-wide.
