lists (like TBBeta), but when I try it out on messages that are not sent
through lists, I only get the add address dialogue..

I tried Ctrl + W with a set of unrelated senders in my inbox, and I
got the add address dialogue with each. I assume that is how it is
supposed to work. Am I mistaken here?
I assume that by now you have seen Stefan's and Marek's messages in this
same thread.
