Nick, as a now only occasional poster to the lists (the board keeps me occupied!), I have to say I agree with your sentiments. I've tried many many mailers and the only one I truly like and like enough to have bought, is The Bat!. I use it all the time and recommend it to many people - friends and customers - for its functionality and security. Yes there are things I don't like about it (the ticker for one, and the new .msi installer being another as it prevents me from installing and using v3 on my Linux system), but they are few compared to the things I value TB! for. I don't think anyone will dispute that the announcement of the new version was a shock to most of us and could have been handled in a more timely fashion, but I'm really not prepared to throw the baby out with the bathwater because of it. I'm sure the furore will have been noted by Ritlabs and they hopefully will take this on board for the future. Perhaps they have been so busy concentrating on developing that marketing got overlooked in the workload? Whatever the reason, and there will no doubt be one, I still consider TB! to be the only mailer worth using on a regular basis - but that's just _my_ opinion. ;) -- Cheers, Anne Registered Linux user #345132 Flying high with The Bat! v2.12.00 on Xandros Desktop Deluxe v2.0 Visit The Bat!
