Major issues with RC1

So - on XP, SP2 RC1 has major issues for me a) Memory usage. For the first time I've had TB! consume 132Mb RAM on my machine - 4x what it usually does. b) Antivirus folder scanning is still broken with AVG at least (Anti virus plugin reports an error) c) I still have very lumpy performance
